Varan Against Godzilla

A battle that i think should of happened, so i created my own idea of one such fight. This is the first of 3 in a mini saga. Enjoy ^^.

Plot: 30 years after Godzilla was sealed into the deep heart of Mt Mihara, Japan has enjoyed years of peace and joy without monster attacks. However, a strange event is happening? Tokyo skies are coverd by swarms of butterflies... that were fought to be long extinct. Many want to know how they got there and go searching for them. But, To an old couple... These butterflies are a precurser to something truly terrorfying.

EX-Members of the Godzilla counter measure centre are sent to a location known as the "Kitami River" to find out were these insects are coming from. A village once stood here, but the village was destroyed during a attack by their mountain god "Baradagi". The only thing left standing is a giant statue which tributed the god Many say that the creature was killed when the JSDF bomed it over the ocean.

However, that old couple think otherwise. and warn that the monster could return... but they're warning fell on deaf ears. Meanwhile groups of tourists are visiting Mt.Mihara, Unaware of what lies deep within. Then, the worst happens. The volcano bursts into life once more and from the ash and magama... Godzilla rises, roaring to let the world know that he had returned to create havoc once again. The tourists didn't stand a chance.

Japan and the world cried in mass panic that such a nightmere had come true. Because of this, the butterflies started to flee towards Kitami River. And thus, the Shobijin had returned, to tell a select few about the truth about what is going on.

The Original Godzilla was known as "Gojira" god of destruction and was whorshiped on Odo island, Mothra their own god was known as "Haora" godness of peace on Infant Island, and lastly Varan, known to the people of Kitami River as "Baradagi" God of the mountains. all three have a link, Gojira (Hell, Sea) Baradagi ( Earth, Land) Haora (Heaven, Sky) Meaning the Islands of Odo, Infant and Kitami River were connected in a mythical triangle.

It is said that if these 3 gods were fight each other within this triangle, the whole planet would face the aftermath.
Then, they get word that godzilla has reached land, but not towards tokyo. Instead he is heading right in the direction of Kitami River! The Shobijin pray for Mothra to get there before the king of monsters. but it is too late, Godzilla, crushing whats left of the riuned village is face to face with the Baradagi Statue at the rivers end.

With a feeling of defince, Godzilla fires his atomic breath, causing the destruction of the statue. Hungry for more he leaves the river and heads back to destroy Tokyo. However... a huge shadow appears within the rivers abyss. The battle of the gods has began. Godzilla encounters mothra within Tokyos heart and fight to the death, both deal huge damage at each other. But just as mothra is about to get finished off, A huge shadow appears over the sky line. It is Varan!

landing on top on Godzilla in a surprise attack, giving mothra a chance to heal. Both Kaiju appear to be at the same level of power, With the Atomic and Oral breaths in beam struggles, claws and punches and brute force. Giving no quater.

As the sun rises, Mothra along with Varan drag Godzilla into the Sea and continue their battle. The fight gets so intense, it creates mini tsunamis. torn and tried out, Varan is losing and fast. He tries to glide only to get struck by godzillas tail. Mothra distracts Godzilla while Varan attacks him again. Godzilla starts to charge a Heat Spiral, fires and tears a huge hole in Varans body, But while falling from the sky, Varan summons the power of Baradagi and glides towards Godzilla head on. Rising his claws and covered in red lighting kamakazes Godzilla and drags him down into the ocean.

Mothra, crying out for varan flies in circles while Bubbles burst from the water. Finally the bubbles stop. There is only Silence as Varan's lifeless body floats in the waves.
With people wondering what happened, The Shobijin Explain that Varan, drove godzilla away... at the cost of his own life. In an act of moaning, Mothra carries Varan back to Kitami River and lays him to rest with the rivers deeps. He is slowly placed into the water, and starts to sink back down into the rivers deep.
